About Chengalpattu Rural Development Society (CRDS)

Chengalpattu Rural Development Society (CRDS) is a non-profit organization established in 1995. It is the official social service wing of the Diocese of Chengalpattu. We are committed to the upliftment of the poor and marginalized in the Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram districts.

Our focus is on empowering women, children, and youth through education, skill training, and community organization. We believe in a participatory approach to development, working with the people to identify their needs and find sustainable solutions.

To promote the integral development of the rural poor. To organize women into self-help groups for their socio-economic empowerment. To provide education and skill training to youth and children.To create awareness about health, hygiene, and environmental protection.To work for the rights and dignity of the marginalized communities.
